Animal Kingdom
The Imagineers have gone to great lengths to authenticate the smallest details. Even the newly paved roads look hundreds of years old with false tree roots cracking the pavement and fossilized leaves imbedded in the gravel. Disney-MGM Studios
In size Disney MGM Studios is about the same size as the Magic Kingdom and about half the size of Epcot.Ê By definition Disney-MGM Studios is a working movie and television studio/ theme park. Now, for a description let's reach back to perhaps more familiar ground. Disney-MGM Studio can be described as having drawn the best of Epcot, that is experiencing education and learning with the magic and excitement of the Magic Kingdom. So for those interested in the history and technology of the movies or those who just want to be entertained Disney-MGM Studios is a good bet.
Epcot
In 1981, a massive structure began to rise high into the Central Florida skyline. After 26 months of construction, visitors to Walt Disney World® found themselves in the shadow of Spaceship Earth, a massive silver and white geodesic sphere looming 180 feet high and 165 feet wide; the newest icon for Walt Disney World® and the gateway to Disney's most ambitious theme park ever, EPCOT Center. On October 1, 1982, EPCOT Center opened at Walt Disney World®, spanning several hundred acres and featuring two distinct sections: Future World, where huge pavilions showcased the technology and promise of the future and World Showcase, a massive collection of pavilions depicting various countries placed around a 40-acre Showcase Lagoon. As we enter the new Millennium, Epcot continues to carry on the traditions and dreams of its creators almost two decades later. Epcot is a celebration of life and the human spirit, presented only the way Disney can do it.
Magic Kingdom
The quintessential Disney Park, the Magic Kingdom is to us and many others, the most exciting and exhilarating part of Walt Disney World®.Ê From the moment you step onto Main Street USA, you are transported to a place where the cares of the outside world seem to magically melt away. The park is built on a wheel/spoke design with the Cinderella Castle in the center of the wheel and the different themed lands emanating from the center. |
