Only three miles in length and a half-mile in width Harbour Island is known for its fabulous pink sand beach and island hospitality. Located fifty miles east of Nassau on Harbour Island only twenty minutes from Eleuthera International Airport by taxi and water taxi. The island is accessible via the North Eleuthera airport with service from Miami Ft. Lauderdale and Nassau. Alternatively a high speed Fast Ferry approximately two hours services Harbour Island daily. Pink Sands has long enjoyed a devoted following on this quiet Bahamas Out Island offering a sophisticated hideaway to travelers for more than fifty years. Celebs are said to flock here but the management is hush. Cottages are situated to ensure privacy for all guests and are the perfect choice for those desiring a sophisticated but relaxed beach holiday. The property maintains its relaxed air far from the maddening crowds. Traveling around the island is easy since the island is only three and a half miles longs and a half mile wide and has a resident population of two thousand. Most visitors use bicycles or golf carts as the preferred mode of transportation.
