The Grand Regency Hotel was the first five star hotel in Shandong province and is located near to the busiest area of Qingdao. The Hotel boasts over 400 guestrooms ranging from presidential suites to standard rooms, all equipped with IDD telephone, central air-conditioning, and various other international standard facilities. Every month, a Regent Concert is held here. The dining facilities here are especially attractive.The Marco Polo Grill Room and the Rose Garden Cafe are both ideal places for experiencing authentic western food. The Ginza Japanese Restaurant is one of the best of its type in town. Besides that, the Peacock Chinese Restaurant and the Food Plaza are both nice Chinese restaurants with comprehensive menus covering most of Shandong's famous dishes and other cuisine from throughout China.
The hotel overlooks the sea, providing a fairly peaceful environment, and is not far from any of the transportation links, less than 30 minutes from the airport by road and twenty minutes from the railway station. The hotel is not near to the main sights and city center, but is closer the airport and near to the university.
