Description: The Fairmont Miramar Santa Monica sits atop the scenic bluffs of Santa Monica Beach, with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and infamous Santa Monica Pier. The historic five-acre site features a main building, a 10-floor tower, and a community of single and double story bungalows, and features the more ocean view rooms than any other Santa Monica hotel. The hotel was originally built as a private mansion in 1898 and soon became known throughout the country as the "White House of the West" due to the frequent stream of congressional visitors and celebrities of the time. The property opened its doors as a hotel in 1921. Today, the Miramar's historic buildings and meticulously kept grounds overlooking the Pacific Ocean recapture the glory of her past as a celebrated Santa Monica century landmark. The closest convention centre is in downtown Los Angeles, 12 miles away.
Located on Wilshire Boulevard between Ocean Ave and 2nd Avenue, just north of the Santa Monica Pier, the hotel sits atop the scenic bluffs of Santa Monica Beach. Los Angeles International Airport, Beverly Hills, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Hollywood and Malibu are accessible within a few miles of the hotel.

Stroll through the facility and watch the jelly fish gracefully floating around the tank or visit the touch tanks for hands-on exploration. Rodeo Drive Located 3.5 miles (20-minute drive) from the hotel, this world-famous strip has appeared in countless films and served as the background for many Television shows, and for good reason. In the world of high-end fashion, Rodeo and "chic" are synonymous; with three solid blocks shoppers are dazzled by Armani, Gucci, Christian Dior, Chanel, Valentino and Bijan (boasting million dollar wardrobes). In addition to brand-name boutiques, the area features a unique shopping and dining experience with shopping boutiques such as Rodeo Collection at 421 Rodeo, and luxury department stores Neiman Marcus and Saks Fifth Avenue. Getty Museum The J. Paul Getty Museum at the Getty Center houses collections of European paintings, drawings, sculptures, illuminated manuscripts, decorative arts, and European and American photographs. The Getty Center itself opened in 1997 and is a dramatic hilltop campus where patrons can tour the grounds, picnic, and enjoy a concert. Montana Avenue Home to shops and restaurants of elegance and style, many consider Montana Avenue shops second only to Rodeo Drive in chic and sophistication. This chic neighborhood is located just minutes from the hotel. Third Street Promenade Enjoy fine restaurants, live entertainment, movie theatres, shopping, a local artists' scene and a weekly farmer's market on this European-style walkway in the heart of Santa Monica. Located just one block from the hotel. Universal Studios Hollywood Experience a full day of fun and adventure on thrilling rides and attractions at the World's Largest Movie Studio and Theme Park. Then, do the new Universal CityWalk, LA's one-stop, non-stop dining and entertainment destination.
