Wolf Creek Ski Area gets the most snow in Colorado! Twenty-two runs from beginner to expert, with equipment rentals available, make it perfect for a whole family of ski bunnies. (25 miles) Purgatory Ski Area, featuring "The hottest skiing in the West," is known for its sunshine, dry powder and abundant snowfall. (90 miles) The Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad is the finest remaining example of the original Denver and Rio Grande narrow gauge line which was built in the 1880s to serve miners and loggers. Runs from mid-May until mid-October. Treasure Falls features a picturesque 100-foot-high mountain waterfall, just a short walk from its parking area.
