It is home of the annual world famous Sorghum Festival which is held during the last three weekends in October. If you are in the mood for a mountain drive, you must visit nearby Helen where you can dine on authentic Bavarian cuisine or take a carriage ride through its quaint European Village. Dahlonga, less than 30 miles away, is a historic gold mining town where the family can pan for gold or visit the historic Gold Rush Museum.
