| Dining | Dining Wheatleigh Restaurant Like the famed French châteaux, the pride of Wheatleigh is its internationally renowned restaurant. Walk past the Georgian sideboard. Follow the maitre d' through the gleaming mahogany doors into the dining room. Notice the fine English wool carpeting, the hand carved Chippendale chairs, the antique Waterford crystal chandeliers, and the rare ceramic tile wall plaques commissioned by Doulton in 1830. Add to this exquisite flower arrangements, warm candlelight, and beautifully carved moldings and fireplace. Service that is discreet, polished and professional completes the setting. The cuisine at Wheatleigh is a striking contemporary American interpretation of the classic French cuisine. The emphasis is on the finest and freshest ingredients procured locally and from around the world. Light sauces enhance rather than mask flavors. Choose wine from our award winning list, which offers exceptional selections from four continents. The ultimate compliment to Wheatleigh's restaurant comes from our well traveled guests, who regularly place it in a class with the best anywhere. Closure - 02Jan06 through 19Jan06 Hotel and restaurant-closed due to minor renovations and upgrading Meal Plans: 20Jan06 to 31Mar06: Rack Rates include Set Dinner Menu on Sunday to Thursday only.

| Room Types Offered | From the original bedrooms of the Count and Countess to the aviary converted into a two story suite and made famous by Leonard Bernstein, each of the nineteen guest rooms is unique and individually decorated. The sensibility of contemporary design is combined with well chosen English and French antiques to enhance Wheatleigh's classical Renaissance architecture. Most rooms are large with high ceilings and are filled with light. Many have fireplaces, balconies and wonderful views of the mountains and lake, the sculpture garden or the front courtyard. All have private baths, and, in a bow to the demands of 20th century comfort, are equipped with telephones and individually controlled heat and air conditioning.
