Hoggys
Hoggys first opened its doors on June 27, 1991 at the very first location at 2234 W. Dublin Granville Rd. in Columbus, Oh. The result was a successful mix of entrepreneurial spirit from several individuals; the founders of the now international chain, 'Steak Escape', Chairman: Ken Smith, President: Mark Turner, along with Tim Huter, a former Regional Operations Manager with Rax Restaurants and John Smallridge, a principal partner and successful entrepreneur in the restaurant and sporting goods business.Many hours of discussion over the make up of the menu, the atmosphere, and how Hoggys would be "different" was what drove the focus of what now is Hoggys. Hoggys would open new locations, but never be a chain. The pork, ribs and chicken would be "smoked," the BBQ sauce and all the side dishes "homemade", the beer would be ice cold, and the people would make Hoggys even better.
