Mount Carmel Junction is a resort destination at the junction of U-9 and US-89, located 12 miles from Zion National Park. ˇFrom: Las Vegas. Travel Interstate 15 north. Exit north of St. George, at Exit 16. Take U-9 to the only stop light in LaVerkin. Turn right and continue on U-9 through the south entrance of the park, to the east entrance. Continue 12 miles east on U-9 to Mount Carmel Junction. U-9 through the park is always open.
