Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, our beautiful stone lodge offers a warm welcome to park visitors. Built in 1939 from hand cut stone and now extinct wormy chestnut wood, it offers 97 rooms, including some in the main lodge..cabins..suites and our most popular..our rustic motel-style accommodations with vaulted ceilings, private baths and mountain views. Big meadows offers full-service dining, nightly entertainment and is located within a quarter mile to BYRD visitor center.
